What is Cloud Security?
Cloud security is about making sure that cloud computing is safe and compliant, and that any risks associated with its use and control. This is especially important for enterprises using public clouds such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Amazon Web Services (AWS), which has their own unique security needs.
Cloud security is mainly concerned with how secure the cloud service itself is, as well as how secure the data and applications within that service are. The enterprise discipline does not necessarily refer to security services that are delivered from the cloud (security as a service), and are intended to be used outside of the cloud such as SaaS-delivered endpoint security or identity security delivered via cloud or SaaS service providers.
